Katey Sagal
A talented, versatile actor, Katey Sagal
is a skilled singer and actress who was a master of both drama and comedy. The
most popular of her roles was for her performance in the role of Peg Bundy. She
was a dazzlingly distinctive, bold character from the Fox show Married... with
Children (1987). The show was awarded two American Comedy Awards as well as
three Golden Globes throughout the series' lengthy duration. Peg Bundy was
equally popular and popular as Katey as she continued to appear in sitcoms on television.
Katey also played roles which were totally different from the role that first
attracted the attention of the nation. In 2008 she played the character in the
role of Gemma Teller Morrow (the matriarch of the Hell's Angels-like California
motorcycle group) on Sons of Anarchy (2008). The character she played earned
her an award in the form of a Golden Globe Award in 2011 for the Best
performance by an actress in the TV Series Drama. Catherine Louise Sagal was
the daughter of Sara Zwilling, a singer and Boris Sagal, a noted director of
film and television. When she was five she began her first show in Los Angeles.
She also trained in voice and acting at the California Institute of the Arts,
Valencia, California. She worked as a waitress who sang during her
"salad" times. After her time in "The Group Without a
name," she got a break when she joined forces with Gene Simmons and KISS,
the 1970s' rock group. She gained invaluable experience performing as a back-up
singer to Simmons, Etta Jones, Tanya Tucker, and Olivia Newton-John. When Bette
performed her avant-garde stage productions in the latter half of the 1970s and
into the early 1980s she was a dynamic performer in live performances alongside
Bette Midler.
