Milena Govich
Milena Govich is an actor, director
musician, actor, and actor who has directed numerous episodes of TV that
include The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020),
Chicago Fire (2012) and Chicago Fire (2012), among others. Milena was the
Co-EP/Producing Director for Dick Wolf's CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently
in the process of completing two pilots. Milena was one of eight filmmakers
chosen by AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women, in addition to the
only Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program. Unspeakable was her TV
series as well as a short film. The show starred Jeff Kober and Laura
Vandervoort The film won the Best Episodic Award at Seattle International Film
Festival as well as Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. The
short film she made, Temporary (2017) is screened across the country and won
Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta
ShortsFest as well as the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film
Festival. Milena has appeared on more than 100 TV shows. She first gained
national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the
prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis
Leary/FX). She also appeared on the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006) that led
to her being the first and only female detective on the Emmy-winning TV series
Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make
It or Break It (2009) [ABC Family] as well as Lori Stevens (MTV Drama Finding
Carter (2014). Milena also appeared in a number of films including Sordid
Things (2008); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light
(2015) and #Lucky Number (2015). She also starred opposite Method Man. Born in
Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian of her high school prior to
completing a double major in vocal performance and premed, with minors in
violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma, with a valedictorian
award at the end of the course. After graduation she took advantage of her
ballet education to appear on Broadway in the production by Rob Marshall and
Sam Mendes of "Cabaret" in Studio 54.
