Deborah Rhea
Seehorn was born May 12, 1972. Her most well-known role is that of Kim Wexler,
an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) where she received two times
the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress for a series, Miniseries or
Television Film. She's also been in the NBC's Whitney (2011)-2013 and ABC's I'm
with Her(2003)-2004 as well as TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014.
Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native, was born May 12 in 1972. Her mother was
executive secretary in the United States Navy, her father was an agent in Naval
Investigative Service. The family lived in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan,
and often moved around during her early years. From a young age she was
encouraged by her grandparent and grandmother to pursue a career in drawing,
painting and architecture. While she continued her pursuit of the visual arts,
she also discovered a passion for acting. She was also introduced to modern
theatre at the time of her college. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. While at college, Seehorn was
looking to enter the theater industry, thanks to the advice of her acting
coach. She was employed in ancillary positions in the theater industry in D.C.
to try to be noticed. She was eventually offered prominent performances in
local theater However, she still had to find odd jobs to pay the bills She was
also cast in various short instructional industrial films. Then, she began to
find roles in television productions. She was often seen in roles that were
"very wry and sarcastic" as her idol Bea Arthur. Most of these roles
ended up being ended after two or three seasons. Seehorn was played by Kim
Wexler for the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014.
Seehorn is Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest of Saul Goodman, the
aforementioned Jimmy McGill.
