2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps, better known by his stage name 2 Chainz, is a popular American rapper and hip hop artist. Georgia native, he founded the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle together with a high-school friend. The group's debut album, 'Supply & Demand It was a mixed success. Epps' second album, 'Based on the T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It reached the top spot on the US Billboard 200 and was a huge success. It sold 147,000 copies within the first week! He hasn't been back from the album's release and has since risen to be one of the most admired American rappers. He has been nominated for six Grammy categories, and of these one was won by "No Problem." After he was found with marijuana and promethazine in his luggage, he was escorted off a flight from Los Angeles International Airport. This led to controversy. But, his encounters with law enforcement haven't affected his popularity in any way. The fourth studio album of his, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music", was released in June of 2017. Based on the T.R.U. Story', which was the debut studio album of 2 Chainz, can be considered to be his first major work and also the most successful album of his career. It was a huge hit and climbed to the top spot in the US Billboard 200. In only one week, it sold 17,000 copies. The album was sold out more than 623,000 times throughout the year. The album, which featured songs that were a hit, including "No Lie', 'Birthday Song', and I'm Different', was nominated as  the 'Best Rap Album' at the 55th Grammy Awards. The majority of reviews were negative. 2 Chainz married Kesha Wade in 2013. The couple has three children: Heaven, Harmony, and Halo. He has a long and successful career, but is known for his penchant for getting into trouble with the law. Numerous times, he's been detained for possession of drugs.
